What Is "We Are The B?"

For many years the LGBTQ community has largely been focused on the L's and the G's. And let's be serious, it's really been the domain mostly of the G's. The bisexual community, the B's, have been left out in the cold. This is evident in biphobic phrases like, "Bisexuals don't exist," or, "Bisexuals are just confused gays." Bisexuals have had a rough go of it for some time now. This is not to say we've had it worse than our lesbian and gay siblings. It is to say, however, that there are problems that are uniquely bisexual problems . One example of this is the problem of acceptance not only from the straight community, but just as much from the LG community itself—a fact that has taken many years to become clear to even the bisexuals themselves. This blog is my attempt to add to the conversation and to promote acceptance from people as a whole, as well as to, hopefully, give advice to young bisexuals and others who are now coming to ...
